Atomic Heart | Best Melee Weapon

Throughout your journey in Atomic Heart, you’ll be able to discover a variety of unique melee weapons. But with so many to choose from, deciding which one is the strongest can often be a daunting task. Luckily, we were able to try them all out during our trek through the dystopian landscape of the game. Now we’re here to tell you what the best melee weapon is in the game, so you can start racking up robot kills with it.

What is the Best Melee Weapon in Atomic Heart?

What is the Best Melee Weapon in Atomic Heart?

The best melee weapon in Atomic Heart is the hard-hitting Zvezdochka. Equipped with a sharp buzzsaw that can take down even the strongest of mechs, this deadly sharp-toothed weapon packs a machine-tearing punch.

Through the right upgrades, it can become even more of a threat as its initial weakness lies in its slow attack animation. For instance, the enhancements you can make with its Disk and Handle attachments can improve the attack speed drastically. With this in mind, we recommend immediately purchasing these upgrades so you can bypass its main flaw.

We also suggest installing the Reverse Shot enhancement under the Crushing Blow category. Once this upgrade has been acquired, the Zvezdochka’s charged attack will give you the ability to throw both buzzsaws from afar. This enables you to remain relatively safe as you deal absurd amounts of damage from a distance. The short- and long-range onslaught that it can bring is why we chose it as our best melee weapon in the game.

Keep in mind, though, that the Zvezdochka is the last melee weapon you’ll be acquiring in the game. This means that you may have to look through a bunch of random chests before you can finally get the blueprint for it. In our case, we were able to obtain the blueprint in a chest within Training Ground 8. But since blueprint spawns are random throughout the game, we can’t guarantee that you’ll be able to get it at this location.
