All biomes within Disney Dreamlight Valley contain its own set of unique and docile critters. Each animal you meet can also be fed, however, you’ll only be able to do so using a specific ingredient. A particular example of a creature you’ll eventually meet is the raccoon. If you’ve seen one, but aren’t sure how to approach and feed it, then you can find out how to do so below.
How to Feed Raccoons in Disney Dreamlight Valley
In order to feed raccoons in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll have to approach them very carefully first. Once you see them stand on their hind legs, this means they’re alert and you will need to stop moving. As soon as they sit back down, you can inch closer by moving one step forward. Repeat this process until you get close enough to them because they will eventually lower their guard around you.
If you run towards them or make any sudden movements, they will scamper away and you’ll have to start the process again. You will also need to give them food immediately when they’re approachable. This is because they will run off if you walk away or take too long.
Keep in mind that a raccoon’s favorite food is blueberries, so you’ll also need to have some in your inventory to feed them. These fruits are located in the same area that they’re in, which is the Forest of Valor biome.
Luckily, after you’ve fed them once you’ll no longer have to chase them again. However, it is worth noting that each of the five raccoon types you can find appears at a specific time of the day. You’ll be able to check their availability by opening the menu and heading to the Collection tab. You should then select the Critters category and each animal’s schedule will be shown at the bottom once they’re highlighted.
