FIFA 23 Kicks off Xbox Game Pass’ Second Wave for May preview

Xbox Game Pass has two waves that come out each month. Subscribers will soon that games will be added, and taken away, twice each cycle. Games are added from the 1st to the 15th, when games will be removed. Then, the second wave of games will be added from the 15th to the end of the month, when games will be removed. May 2023 is no exception, as the second wave of games has made its way to the platform.

There are plenty of games coming out for the second half of May, and much like the first half, players are going to be able to check out a variety of titles, and genres these titles span. here’s everything that’s releasing during May’s 2nd wave of additions.

Available Now

  • FIFA 23 (Console & PC) (only available through EA Play)

May 18

  • Eastern Exorcist (Console & PC)
  • Ghostlore (Console)

May 23

  • Planet of Lana (Console and PC)

May 25

  • Cassette Beasts (Console)
  • Massive Chalice (Cloud & Console)
  • Railway Empire 2 (Cloud, Console & PC)

May 30

  • Chicory: A Colorful Tale (Console & PC)

Aside from the releases coming out on Xbox Game Pass, some DLC and updates for games are available now for players to enjoy. One of them is “The Hoarders Hunt” for Sea of Thieves. This new edition includes over 100 real-world prizes for players to receive if they partake in the game’s event. DLC for Age of Empires 2 is also available, allowing subscribers to pick up a remastered version of the first game for 10% off!

Xbox Game Pass May Wave 2 Removals

With every addition to Game Pass, a few other titles will be removed from the platform. Come May 31, five games will be leaving the service. As usual, Game Pass subscribers will be allowed to purchase the game at a discount before its removal. Here’s everything that’s leaving Game Pass on May 31:

  • Europa Universalis (PC)
  • Evil Genius 2: World Domination (Cloud, Console & PC)
  • Fifa 21 (Console & PC) (EA Play)
  • Floppy Knights (Cloud, Console & PC)
  • Lawn Mowing Simulator (Cloud, Console & PC)

This wraps up everything that’s coming and leaving the game pass for the second half of May. With June just around the corner, who knows what Game Pass will bring to the table as summer starts to really heat up!
