The process required to unlock fast travel in Forza Horizon 5 is a rather lengthy one, and will cost you a bit of in-game currency, too. However, the reward of being able to traverse the map instantly is certainly worth it.

First, you’ll need to purchase the Buenas Vistas house. It’s located on the western side of the map near La Gran Caldera and Baja California. This house costs two million credits, meaning it will take quite a bit of grinding to collect enough credits. Equally, it’s only available for purchase once you’ve completed the Guanajuato Expedition, so you have to do that first. This involves several races, so make sure you’ve completed it properly, or the property won’t unlock. If you’ve got the VIP version of Forza Horizon 5, then you get the Buenas Vistas house for free, so you won’t need to save up.

With that property purchased, you’ll be able to see the fifty fast travel bonus boards across the map. You can head to any of these locations, but it will cost you credits. However, you can drive through these boards to smash them, which reduces the fast travel cost. Once all fifty are destroyed, you get to fast travel for free. As such, your traversal across the Forza Horizon 5 map will be seamless, and will cost you nothing at all.
