Grounded Supreme Plating Recipe | How to Make
Grounded Supreme Plating Recipe | How to Make preview

Given that Grounded places so much emphasis on crafting, you’ll eventually need to acquire high-level materials. In fact, all of the game’s best armor eventually need Supreme Plating to reach their highest levels. However, as you may expect, this material is exceedingly rare. Even unlocking the recipe for it can feel like a chore. Fortunately, we can help you find exactly what you need to get started.

How to Make Supreme Plating in Grounded

The chip that unlocks the Supreme Plating recipe is hidden in the Black Anthill Lab. This lab is located in the rotting stump in the Upper Grasslands. If you haven’t cleared it already, you’ll need to do that first. The Black Anthill Chip is the item you need to unlock the Supreme Plating Recipe.

If you’ve spent a lot of time in Grounded, you should be familiar with plating. This material is used to upgrade your armor to higher levels throughout the game. Supreme Plating is no different, it allows you to upgrade your armor to Level 8 and Level 9.

Like others in Grounded, you’ll have to buy this recipe in the menu. For that, you’ll need a total of 2,500 Raw Science. However, keep in mind that this is a finite recipe, meaning that there’s a limited amount of resources available to make it. Crafting it requires Supreme Marble Shards, which you’ll only ever find from Supreme Marble. To harvest those shards, you’ll need a Black Ox Hammer.

However, given enough time, you can eventually find a renewable recipe. The catch is that you’ll be practically at the end of the game before it becomes available. The renewable recipe is dropped by a powerful foe hiding in the Mysterious Lab. Reaching this lab involves getting underneath the Castle Moldorc Playset, which is effectively the game’s final dungeon. Defeating this boss will unlock the Ominent Data Disk, allowing you to make Supreme Plating using only Sap and Ladybird Shells.
