Fortnite, being the biggest battle royale game, is no stranger to crossovers. Many times, the developers have taken characters from both films and games and inserted them into the battle royale. Characters like Master Chief to Kratos, RoboCop, and even The Xenomorph have joined the fray. Now, the latest characters to join Fortnite are Resident Evil‘s Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield.
Leon and Claire Join Fortnite
Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield of Resident Evil fame have made their way into Fortnite. While Claire sports her red jacket from Resident Evil 2, Leon’s Look is different.
Leon’s sporting his look from Resident Evil 4. It’s the late-game look that he uses when he loses his iconic jacket. However, this isn’t the only thing that comes with the pack in the Fortnite store.
Both characters come with their own back bling and harvesting tools. Claire, being based on Resident Evil 2 Remake, includes a back bling. The back bling sports all four colored keys from inside the RPD. Claire’s harvesting tool is a red and white Parasol that looks suspiciously like the Umbrella Logo.
As for Leon, his harvesting tool is his combat knife, holstered on his person. When he brandishes the knife, he actually takes it out of the holster. This isn’t the first time a Fortnite skin has done this either. The Robocop skin’s back bling will have the player take the back bling off, allowing them to use it as a harvesting tool.
Leon’s back bling is a briefcase, possibly containing one of the many viruses found in the series.
The pack of both characters comes in a bundle for 2,100 v-bucks. However, if you want to, you can purchase the characters individually. As of right now, the bundle is in the store if you want to pick it up. However, keep in mind that Epic has been pretty flaky about how long these featured packs stay in the store. So, if you want to jump on the skins, and add them to your account, it’s recommended you do it as soon as possible.
