Modern Warfare 2 x TMNT Collaboration Teased for March 21
Modern Warfare 2 x TMNT Collaboration Teased for March 21 preview

Ever since games like Fortnite decided to start collaborating with Mmajor media brands, plenty of other series jumped in on the action. Now, the biggest name in first-person action is teaming up with an unlikely brand. That’s right, Call of Duty is getting a TMNT collaboration, introducing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into Modern Warfare 2. While this might not be the craziest crossover we’ve seen, it’s certainly up there. And players won’t have to wait long to check it out, either.

The Heroes in a Half-Shell Come To Modern Warfare 2

Collaboration between Call of Duty and TMNT

Announced yesterday on the official Call of Duty Twitter account, footage of TMNT’s biggest antagonist Shredder, was shown. From wearing the classic outfit to even having a vial of TMNT’s ooze on their hip, Shredder is the first look players will get in this collaboration. The tweet’s caption reads simply: A new evil will rise.

The collaboration is slated to release on March 21, 2023. As of right now, this is the only information that Call of Duty has shared to the public. It’s uncertain if Mikey, Raph, Leo, and Donnie are going to be joining their arch-rival in Modern Warfare and Warzone, as it seems out of character for the Ninja Turtles.

However, stranger collaborations have happened. Call of Duty has done collaborations with King Kong, Godzilla, Saw, Scream, and even Attack on Titan. So, the likelihood of Raphael shooting an MP5 in a TDM match is more likely than one might think.

While it’s only speculation there’s a chance other TMNT characters could be coming, antagonists like Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady could make their debut in the game. It’s possible we could see a TMNT rouges gallery, rather than including just the Heroes in a Half Shell.

Despite all this, Activision and Infinity Ward haven’t mentioned anything about the collaboration outside of the video. So, there’s still time before the launch date for them to reveal just what this collaboration entails. It could possibly be something more, like the King Kong and Godzilla expansion, being a whole event in Warzone that players can interact with. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see.
