If you want to boost your gamerscore, Sea of Thieves is jam-packed with achievements. However, because the game is constantly changing with updates and the introduction of new seasons, these achievements can sometimes be tampered with. That is exactly the case with the Captain of Silvered Waters achievement. Unfortunately, you can no longer work towards it in the game, and here’s why.
Captain of Silvered Waters Achievement in Sea of Thieves
The Captain of Silvered Waters achievement in Sea of Thieves is awarded to players who finish in the top three in The Arena 100 times. It’s a difficult achievement, so you might be relieved to know that it’s been removed from the game.
Rare removed The Arena PvP mode from Sea of Thieves Season 6 to coincide with the release of Season 6. This decision was made because the developers wanted to focus on other aspects of the game, but ironically, The Arena was not a popular game mode, which is more or less why it was removed.
When Rare decommissioned The Arena in Season 6, they also deactivated any achievements linked to it. That removed over ten Legacy achievements from the game, including the Captain of Silvered Waters achievement. Along with Rare’s decision, Xbox and Steam removed these achievements from their platforms.
So, all in all, you can no longer get the Captain of Silvered Waters achievement in Sea of Thieves. So don’t waste your time on a mission that doesn’t exist. Instead, you can tackle other relevant achievements for which we have guides. And don’t worry, these ones are achievable.
