Conan Exiles takes base building and survival crafting to new levels. Naturally, that means there’s no easy living. If you want to survive, you need to have the best gear. And to get the best gear, you’ll need Star Metal Bars. This rare material is used in some of the most potent weapons and armor in the entire game. However, you’ll need to find plenty of ore before you can begin crafting.
How to Make Star Metal Bars in Conan Exiles
To make Star Metal Bars in Conan Exiles, you need to combine two Star Metal Ore, one Brimstone, and one Black Ice at the furnace.
As you may have guessed, the primary requirement of Star Metal Bars is also the rarest. Star Metal Ore can only be found from fallen meteorites around the snow biome. If you see one land, follow the trail to the landing site. Then, you’ll need to break the shell using explosives. Once inside, the ore can be harvested by using a Steel Pick.
Brimstone is more readily available. To find it, you need to harvest mineral nodes. These are found all over, from Sinner’s Refuge to Buccaneer Bay. Alternatively, if you happen to be carrying around a Rocknose Carcass, you can make some yourself. Putting the carcass through the Fluid Press yields five Brimstone as well as 10 Stone and 10 Crystal.
Lastly, there’s Black Ice. For this, you’ll need to head out to the Obelisk on The Frozen Slopes and the Temple of Frost. Stay on the lookout for Black Ice nodes around and within the temple. You can craft it as well, by heading to the Exalted Altar of Ymir. To craft Black Ice, you’ll need a Manifestation of Zeal as well as five Ice Shards and 100 Ice.
Once you have everything in your possession, you can craft Star Metal Bars at any variation of the Furnace. It takes 20 seconds to craft and nets you 26 XP.
