Resident Evil 4 Mercenaries Mode Launches April 7
Capcom Released a new trailer to celebrate the launch of the Resident Evil 4 Remake. The trailer shows select scenes from the game, including shots of las plagas, the chainsaw enemy, Luis, and of course, Leon and Ashley. The trailer doesn’t show much gameplay sides a couple of things, like the dodge, and Leon’s roundhouse kick. However, the most important thing comes at the end of the trailer.
While no gameplay is shown, the logo, and a release date for Resident Evil 4 Remake’s Mercenaries mode. The date the DLC comes out is April 7. Furthermore, the DLC is going to be free for every owner of the game. While this would make sense, seeing that Resident Evil 4‘s original version came packed in with the mercenaries, players are going to be happy that the complete package is available to them.
While nothing is shown, it’s possible to speculate on what the mode is going to be like. The original had Leon, or any other character available to play as, fighting enemies until the evacuation helicopter arrived. Mercenaries was based purely on skill, and if they’re trying to recapture that, this is what the mode will be like.
However, some characters who weren’t in the game, like Hunk, or even Albert Wesker, were available to play as in the Mercenaries mode. If they keep this trend, perhaps we’ll see a look at an RE engine rendition of Wesker.
