How to Get Chitin in Conan Exiles

To get Chitin in Conan Exiles, you need to kill enemies with chitinous bodies. Sand Reapers, Shalebacks, Spiders, Scorpions, and Demonic Spiders all drop carcasses which can be refined into Chitin.

In other words, you’ll get it by processing dead creatures. You’ll need to pick up items like the Sand Reaper Carcass, the Spider Carcass, the Scorpion Carcass, the Demonic Spider Head, and the Shaleback Carcass.

These are the only items in the game that will allow you to get Chitin. After you have these items in your possession, you’ll need to find a fluid press. If you don’t have one, you can make them out of 50 Shaped Wood, 10 Iron bars, and 10 Twine.

Put these items into the fluid press, you’ll be given around five chitin per item The exception is the Scorpion Carcass, which will give you 25 chitin.

As for what you can do with this material, there are plenty of things you can make with it. Combat Items like the carapace shield can be made with 10 Chitin. However, if you want to deck yourself out in some armor, you can use it to make Stygian Armor.

There are two types of armor to make with the Chitin, the Stygian Raider Armor, and the Stygian Soldier Armor. The Soldier armor uses more than the Raider armor, and also requires Heavy Padding and Thick Leather as well. This makes the armor better than the Raider armor, but still, the Raider armor is a good option in a pinch.
